Why donate?

Imagine one of your children has a life limiting illness.  Your child Is prescribed 16 medications. 10 of those go through insurance with a monthly co-pay. Six of them are over the counter but necessary to your child’s health. They are at least $40 each.  The doctor recommends a specific diet. Your personal research shows that chiropractic care and supplements will also help keep your child healthy.  You want what is best for your child; to give them the best chance at being physically healthy, but that is another $500 a month.  Your child is also struggling emotionally.  They have medical trauma and anxiety.  They are realizing they’re different and they need help processing these big emotions. Therapy runs $120 an hour.

The list, the appointments, the cost; it starts to feel like you’re drowning.  Your child's life depends on money above what insurance will cover.  And it starts to affect the whole family.  The siblings need mental health support.  Your marriage needs respite.  Your soul needs a reprieve.

The numbers add up quickly and are too big to swallow, but the hardest part to comprehend is there is no end in sight.  You are not going to wake up one day with your child magically healed.  This leaves you with a heavy weight to carry forever.

Triumphant Families was created to help families lift that weight.  As a special needs mom, I know personally that when people come around you to help carry the weight it can feel like a light at the end of a long tunnel.  Thanks to people around us, we have been able to take time away as a couple, prioritize mental health for our entire family, buy equipment that made our daily life just a touch easier, and so much more.  Our army has blessed us financially over the years in a way that made it possible for my family to continue living life abundantly, in spite of our daughter’s diagnosis. Triumphant Families wants to help other families do the same.
