Hello,

​Our story starts sitting paralyzed on the bedroom floor, crying tears
that I thought would never stop.  It was June 13th, 2012 and I had
just gotten a phone call from the doctor.  The words the doctor spoke
felt like they physically broke my heart.  My one year old had Cystic
Fibrosis.

I was overwhelmed by the journey ahead of us and what our story would
look like from now on.  How long would she live?  Could we afford the
best possible care?  How would this affect the rest of our family; our
marriage?

But God knew our fears and our hopes.  And He had plans bigger than we
could ever dream.

A few months after the diagnosis, a group of businessmen created a
golf tournament to raise money for our daughter’s medical expenses.
K’s Triumph Over CF 1st Annual Golf Tournament humbled us.  It turned
so many of our fears to peace as it took fifteen thousand dollars off
our shoulders.  Through the generosity of these men, it immediately
became an annual event.  Every spring a group of successful male
business owners wipe tears from their faces as we play videos of our
daughter’s year and share updates on her health.  These funds have
made it possible to provide so much more than insurance would ever be
able to cover.  Chiropractic care, over the counter medicines,
nutrition, supplements, counseling, therapies, equipment and more.

Our story of brokenness started on the day we received the diagnosis,
but it did not end there.  Abundance, joy, triumph.  That is our
story.  That is His story.  And we want it to be others’ story.

My husband and I have known for years that one day we would share this
financial freedom with other families. Through the generosity of one
of those teary-eyed men,  Triumphant Families was brought to life.

God's faithfulness to our family is contagious. Here it starts.
